Amit Rawal
Amit Rawal- a
renowned chemistry teacher who defied all challenges in setting up his teaching
institute in Hisar – Height Classes. Mr. Rawal born in Hisar but had higher
education in Delhi. He earned the B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degree from Delhi University. His passion for teaching can be seen from the
vast experience of 20 years. He started teaching while he was doing the
graduation.
After doing
graduation, he came to his birth place and worked as a chemistry teacher at
Global Institute from the year 2005-2010. In these years, he established strong
bond with students and understand the various difficulties faced by them. In
meanwhile, his younger brother Nikhil Rawal also got prepared as Physics
teacher. After strategic planning and visualizing the situation, Rawal brothers
decided to open the institute in year 2010 at sector 13 Hisar with the name
Height Classes to teach and prepare students for IIT-JEE and NEET competitive
exams. Till now, more than 200 students who have taken chemistry coaching from
height classes, achieved the required rank in competitive exams.
His teaching
methodology combines in-depth knowledge with fun. He encourages every student to
dive deep and learn for life, not merely for an exam, although scoring well on
exams is a clear goal. His focus is on students of the
11th and 12th grades especially those who are preparing for IIT-JEE/
NEET exams.
Q. In this competitive era, where every student dream of getting admission in top engineering and medical institutes, what according to you they should do to get admission?
The students
who dream or make into top educational institutes like IITs, NITs, AIIMS can be
divided into two. One is those who started planning at a very early stage and
others who start it at a much later stage. No doubt, the early starters have a
slight edge over the later ones. However, there is no such data available
suggesting longer preparation would lead a student to these institutes. Instead,
the actual preparation begins once the student is in 10th or 11th standard.
Students can
make their way to IITs, NITs, AIIMS and other medical institutes only if they
are focused, consistent in efforts and had been coached or mentored properly. In
coaching, a student gets the path knowledge so as to follow during the two
rigorous years of study which can pave the way for his dream institute. It has
also seen that self-effort with proper guidance will make one to get through
any entrance exam.
Only hard work won’t let a student to get good score in
IIT-JEE examination, it is also necessary to cleverly planning for it. A
candidate has the option of going equally hard on all the subjects, or
identifying a high scoring subject so as to squeeze the maximum marks. Out of
Physics, chemistry and Maths, Chemistry is most scoring in the IIT-JEE examination.
If a student studies chemistry in the right way, he or she can secure good
rank.
As chemistry is
divided into three categories: Physical, Organic, and Inorganic; studying tips
are different for them. In Physical Chemistry, one needs to develop strong problem
solving skills. Be thorough with all the formulas to solve the problems. In
Organic Chemistry, reaction mechanisms and named reactions are there. Revise
them on regular basis to get score good marks in exam. Inorganic chemistry
includes more of reasoning and facts that must be remember to perform well in
chemistry. No candidate should neglect Chemistry as otherwise it will
severely limit the chances of scoring a good rank in IIT-JEE.
